Saudia baggage rules
- Cabin bag: one bag up to 7 kg in Guest class.
- Checked bags: counted in pieces of up to 23 kg in Guest class; the allowance for your route is printed on your ticket.
- Zamzam water: many Umrah travellers bring Zamzam home; ask us how it fits your allowance before you fly.
- Extra baggage: buying it in advance is cheaper than at the airport.
Pets on Saudia
- Cabin or hold: Saudia accepts household pets on direct routes in the cabin or the cargo hold, when properly crated with valid health and rabies vaccination certificates.
- Entering Saudi Arabia: cats are permitted with a valid health certificate attested by the Saudi embassy. Dogs are allowed only as service dogs for guests with visual or hearing impairments.
- Registration: all pets must be registered on the NAAMA portal of the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture before travel.
- Birds: bringing live birds into Saudi Arabia is restricted and needs permits.

Names on your Saudia ticket
Your name on the ticket must match your passport exactly, and for Umrah it must also match your visa. We check every name before we issue.
Coming back to the UAE with only one name in your passport? Under UAE National Advance Information Centre (NAIC) rules, a traveller whose passport shows only one name, with no other names on any page, is not allowed to enter the UAE, unless for example their UAE visa or Emirates ID shows additional names.
