What is Madame Tussauds Dubai?

It is an indoor wax museum where you walk through themed rooms and stand beside lifelike figures of famous people. You can take selfies, pose with the stars and enjoy interactive experiences at your own pace. It is a great choice for families, couples and groups, and it stays cool and comfortable all year, even in the summer heat.

The one thing people get wrong: they think it is a quick photo stop. It is not. There are several zones, and the whole visit usually takes longer than expected. The figures are made of wax with real hair, so the museum asks you not to touch the faces. That rule keeps the figures in good shape for everyone.

Zones and famous figures you can meet

The museum is laid out in themed zones, each with its own set of stars and activities:

  • A List: red carpet celebrities and music stars such as Dua Lipa and Michael Jackson.
  • Film: Hollywood favourites including Dwayne Johnson, Marilyn Monroe, Kate Winslet and George Clooney.
  • Bollywood and Tollywood: Indian cinema legends such as Anil Kapoor and Allu Arjun.
  • Sport: sporting heroes including Serena Williams, plus the Interactive Sports Zone.
  • Leaders: world figures and thinkers such as the 14th Dalai Lama and Albert Einstein.
  • Fashion: style icons and the Interactive Catwalk.

Extra experiences include Wax Hands (make a wax model of your own hand), the Allu Arjun Dance Experience, the Prank Playground and the Madame Tussauds Art Camp for kids. Some of these are only included with selected tickets.

Madame Tussauds Dubai opening hours

Madame Tussauds Dubai usually opens daily from 11:30 am to 8 pm. Timings may change on weekends, public holidays, Ramadan and during special events, and last entry is earlier than closing time. Madame Tussauds Dubai publishes its daily opening hours, and our team will confirm the timing for your chosen date when you book.

The quietest time to visit is a weekday when doors open. Weekend evenings and school holidays are the busiest.

Please note: Prices and timings can change. Terms and conditions may apply.

How your visit works, step by step

  1. Book your ticket with White Sky at least 1 day ahead. Weekend and holiday slots fill up first.
  2. Pick your ticket type. Standard Admission is the simplest choice, while the Fame Experience and combo tickets add more.
  3. Arrive about 15 minutes early. You will pass a short security check at the entrance.
  4. Enter the first zone and take your time. Most people rush the first room and slow down later.
  5. Allow 60 to 90 minutes in total. Add 30 minutes if you are visiting with young kids.
  6. Finish at the shop, where photos taken by museum staff and souvenirs are sold separately.

How to get to Madame Tussauds Dubai

The museum is on Bluewaters Island, just off Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), beside Ain Dubai.

  • By metro and tram: take the Dubai Metro to Sobha Realty Station in Dubai Marina, switch to the Dubai Tram, get off at Jumeirah Beach Residence 2, then walk across the footbridge to Bluewaters.
  • By taxi: ask for Bluewaters Island and Madame Tussauds. Taxis drop off close to the entrance.
  • By car from Dubai: follow Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E11) and take the Bluewaters turnoff.
  • By car from Abu Dhabi: follow the E10 and E11 into Dubai and take exit 29 towards Bluewaters.
  • Parking: paid parking validation is available with your entry for 3 hours and cannot be extended.

Tips for a smooth visit

  • Book ahead: a confirmed ticket saves the most time on busy days.
  • Read the zone map first: knowing the order of the themed areas stops you from doubling back.
  • Pick your favourites: you do not need a posed photo with every figure. Choose the stars you care about and keep moving.
  • Keep your ticket handy: save your booking email or QR code until you leave, in case staff ask to see it again.
  • Save your photos: photos bought at the museum are usually sent by email, so download them the same day.
  • One visit per ticket: tickets are valid for a single entry, so a return visit needs a new ticket.

Things to do nearby

Bluewaters and JBR are easy to combine with other attractions. Ride Ain Dubai right next door, enjoy city views from Sky Views Dubai, or plan a full day with the Museum of the Future and the Dubai Frame. For more ideas, see our list of Dubai must visit tourist attractions.

When this is not the right choice

If you want a full day of activities, a single wax museum will not fill it. Pair it with the beach at JBR or one of our Dubai travel packages with attractions and hotels instead. If you are travelling with a baby who needs quiet and space, a busy weekend slot will be hard, so go on a weekday morning. And if you only have 30 minutes before a flight, skip it. You will not see enough to make the ticket worth it.
