Al Ain Adventure Park in Abu Dhabi: Tickets, Timings and Activities

Al Ain Adventure Park in Abu Dhabi is a whitewater and water adventure park at the foot of Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain, about 1 hour 30 minutes by car from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi city. Formerly known as Wadi Adventure, it has the longest man made whitewater channels in the world at over 1,100 metres, a surf pool with waves for beginners and pros, the second largest wave pool in the world with waves up to 3.3 metres, the inflatable Aqua Island, the relaxing Oasis Pool with two jacuzzis and the Splash Quest kids zone. You choose between the Adventure Pass, which covers rafting, duckies, tubing, all pools and hiking, and the Splash Pass, which covers the pools, Aqua Island, Splash Quest and hiking. Surfing is booked separately.

The park is open daily, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday to Friday and from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, and it suits families, teens, friends and corporate groups who want real activity rather than a sun lounger. What Is Al Ain Adventure Park?

Al Ain Adventure is the park that many UAE residents still call Wadi Adventure. It is not a slide waterpark. Instead of tube slides, you get man made whitewater rapids on three difficulty levels, a dedicated surf pool, a beach style wave pool and calm pools with mountain views. Conveyor belts carry rafts and kayaks back to the top of the rapids, so you spend more time on the water and less time carrying boats.

Professional surfers, rafters and Olympic kayak teams train here, but most visitors are families and groups trying whitewater for the first time. No experience is needed, because certified guides give a full safety briefing before every session.

Activities at Al Ain Adventure Park

Rafting is the headline activity. Groups of 1 to 5 people ride man made rapids with a professional guide, and the park runs three levels of rapids. A guide, a full briefing and all safety equipment are included. Minimum height is 1.2 m.

The surf pool makes waves for every level, from small rolling waves for beginners to A frame waves over 3 metres for experienced surfers. Soft boards are provided and group or individual lessons are available. Surfing needs prior booking, runs in fixed sessions and is not part of the Adventure Pass. Minimum height is 1.2 m.

Kayaking, Duckies and Tubing

Kayaking on the whitewater channels suits confident paddlers, with lessons available. Duckies are inflatable kayaks that put you right in the rapids, and tubing sends you down the course on an inflatable tube. Duckies and tubing are part of the Adventure Pass. All three need a minimum height of 1.2 m.

The beach style Wave Pool is the second largest wave pool in the world, with waves that can reach 3.3 m. Gentler wave sets make it a good spot for families to swim and splash. There is no height requirement.

Aqua Island is an inflatable obstacle course with 16 obstacles to climb, jump, slide and bounce across. Minimum height is 1.1 m.

Splash Quest

Splash Quest is the kids play zone, with mini slides, tipping buckets, fountains, spray arches and a mini rope course.

Away from the water, the wider Al Ain Adventure area also offers a 4×4 off road track and hiking trails around the mountain. Hiking is now included in both passes and booked at reception on arrival, while the 4×4 off road track runs separately, so ask us what is open on your date.

Al Ain Adventure Park Tickets and Passes

There are two main passes, and both give you access for the day, subject to the park’s operational schedule.

• Adventure Pass: rafting, duckies (inflatable kayaking), tubing, Splash Quest, Aqua Island, Wave Pool, Oasis Pool and hiking. Best for teens and adults who want the whitewater.
• Splash Pass: Aqua Island, Splash Quest, Wave Pool, Oasis Pool and hiking. Best for younger children, non swimmers and relaxed pool days.
• Surf sessions: booked separately for a set time slot, with lessons available.

Both passes now include hiking; you reserve your hiking session at reception on arrival, subject to availability. Children under 3 enter free, and People of Determination enter free with a valid card. Al Ain Adventure lists the following opening hours on its official plan your visit page. Each area has its own schedule:

Timings might change during public holidays, Ramadan, summer and special events, and individual activities can pause on the day for weather or maintenance. We confirm your timings when you book with White Sky.

The best time to visit is October to April, when daytime temperatures are pleasant. In summer, some activities may be limited, so plan for the later afternoon when the heat drops. Weekends are the busiest days, so book a few days ahead.

How to Get to Al Ain Adventure Park

Al Ain Adventure sits at the foot of جبل حفيت العين، قريب من المبزرة الخضراء العين, on the southern edge of Al Ain city in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

4. Pack swimwear, water shoes, sunscreen, a refillable water bottle and a change of clothes. Towels and lockers can be rented at reception.
5. Arrive about 30 minutes before your first activity to check in and get settled.
6. Listen to the full safety briefing before rafting, duckies, tubing or surfing, even if you have done similar activities before.
7. Plan about 2.5 to 3 hours for the Adventure Pass activities, then relax in the Wave Pool or Oasis Pool.

The judgement call that matters most is matching activities to the youngest or least confident swimmer in your group. Start with the gentler options and move to the rapids once everyone feels comfortable.

Safety Rules and Height Requirements

• Rafting, surfing, kayaking, duckies and tubing: minimum height 1.2 m
• Aqua Island: minimum height 1.1 m
• Wave Pool and Oasis Pool: no height requirement

Facilities and Food at the Park

The park has shower and changing rooms with separate male and female areas, lockers and towels for rent, a prayer room with separate spaces for men and women, a staffed first aid station and free drinking water stations, so bring an empty bottle to refill. The park is wheelchair accessible, with ramps and accessible restrooms.

Outside food and drinks are not allowed. Inside, you will find fast food, coffee, ice cream and healthy meals, plus Lebanese food at Habib Beirut and Italian dishes at Azzurro.

When This Park Is Not the Right Choice

If your group wants big tube slides, look at Atlantis Aquaventure waterpark tickets in Dubai instead. If you cannot swim or have mobility limits, the rapids will not suit you, although the Wave Pool and Oasis Pool still can. And if you only have a short time in Al Ain, an animal day at حديقة حيوانات العين أبوظبي may fit your schedule better.
