Yes, Moroccan citizens need a visa to enter the UAE, and no, there is currently no visa on arrival option for Moroccan passport holders, even for travellers who hold a valid US, UK or EU visa. We want to be direct about this since the UAE has recently expanded its visa on arrival scheme to several other nationalities, and we understand why that raises the question. As of the most recent expansion on 25 June 2026, the eligible nationalities are India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Kenya and South Africa. Morocco is not on this list. A pre-arranged tourist visa is still required, and the good news is that process is simple, and we handle it for you every day.
This applies whether you plan to visit Dubai specifically or any other emirate. One UAE tourist visa covers entry across all seven emirates, including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain, not only Dubai, so you are free to travel between them once you arrive.

The UAE visa on arrival facility lets certain nationalities receive a visa directly at the airport, without applying in advance, if they hold a residence permit from one of a small number of approved countries. Morocco is not currently one of the eligible nationalities. This is true even if you hold a valid US visa, a UK visa, or an EU residence permit, since eligibility depends on your Moroccan nationality first, and Morocco has not been added to the approved list as of this update. Documents Required for Moroccan Citizens

To extend, you will need your original passport, a passport size photo, proof of accommodation and your return ticket. Once you have used up the maximum number of extensions for your visa type, you will need to exit the UAE and re enter on a fresh visa. This can be done through an airport to airport visa change, commonly called A2A, or by taking one of the bus routes out of the country and back in, before applying again.
