La Perle by Dragone is Dubai’s first permanent resident show. It was created by the late Belgian director Franco Dragone, best known for large scale water shows, and it plays only in Dubai inside a theatre built around the show.
The heart of the theatre is an aqua stage that holds millions of litres of water. In a few seconds it can drain to become a dry stage and then flood again, so the performers move between land, water and air in one continuous story.
